MF Event Specialist - Job Description
The Event Specialist is responsible for the preparation, management, and physical setup of events.
Hours: 12 - 20 hours per week
Ability to follow-through on tasks until completion
Attention to detail
Ability to take direction
Positive image and tidy appearance
Some knowledge of AV equipment a plus
Ability to lift and move furniture 30+ lbs.
Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as part of a team.
Willingness to work and learn
Scheduling flexibility; Ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends
Valid CA Driver License
Setup necessary seating, sound, and lighting at events.
Ensure at every event that trucks are at the correct location and serve food during designated times.
Check for any safety concerns around the event space (i.e. placing cones & checking for any parking concerns).
Constantly scan event areas, keeping area clean & maintained, & assisting vendors w/ trash necessities.
Greet patrons/Customer service.
Check in with vendors.
Securing forms and fees from trucks and verify correct amount in envelope during collection.
Help vendors load in & out of event areas safely.
Correctly store all equipment in the trucks, making sure everything is safely strapped down prior to driving.
- Report any event or equipment problems on the event report.
