MF Event Specialist - Job Description 

 

Job Summary:

The Event Specialist is responsible for the preparation, cleaning, and physical setup of events.

Hours: 10 - 15 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Positive image and tidy appearance

  • Knowledge of AV equipment a plus

  • Ability to lift and move furniture 30+ lbs.

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work and learn

  • Scheduling flexibility; Ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends

  • Valid CA Driver License

 

Responsibilities:

  • Setup necessary buckets, sound, and lighting at every event.

  • Ensure before every event that trucks are at the correct location and can serve food during designated times.

  • Check for any safety concerns around the market (i.e. placing cones & checking for any parking concerns).

  • Constantly scan the market area, looking for any trash or trash buildup in any trash bins. Replace trash bags if necessary.

  • Greet patrons/Customer service.

  • Check in with vendors.

  • Collect vendor forms from trucks and verify that the correct amount of envelopes have been collected.

  • Help vendors load out safely.

  • Correctly store all equipment in the trucks, making sure everything is strapped down prior to driving.

  • Report any event or equipment problems on the event report.
